Welcome to the Fourth Grade. My name is Joy Singleton, and I will be your teacher this year. I hope you are looking forward to a focused, fun, and lasting year. Parents, I look forward to working with you and your children. I believe the purposes of education are to enrich children’s minds; to promote awareness to students on how their actions can have an effect on the world; to create an understanding on how their environment can enrich their learning; and to guide children to their hopes and dreams. Education is a tool the can lead children to their purpose in life. Education is very important and valuable to me; therefore, I also express to the students that everyone has the right to learn.
